What is an L7 DDoS attack?
A L7 (or Layer 7 OSI) DDoS attack is a type of distributed application level attack (Layer 7 OSI model) in which attackers do not overload the network as a whole, but specific web services and site functions, for example, by sending a large number of legitimate-looking HTTP/HTTPS requests to login, search or API pages, which is why the server, database or business logic cannot withstand the load and the site becomes inaccessible to real users; unlike L3/L4 network attacks, L7 attacks are harder to detect because traffic looks “normal”, so Professional application DDoS protection with behavior analysis and bot filtering is especially relevant for business in Uzbekistan.

The principle of operation
When ordering the service, you will receive a secure address for redirecting traffic. Traffic is first analyzed and cleaned at Qrator nodes, then sent to the Pro-Data server.
If the nearest node is not available, traffic is redirected to the next one. Make sure that IP addresses are removed from external resources before activation, otherwise DDoS protection may not be effective.
Qrator Labs protects against L7 attacks using real-time traffic analysis and intelligent filters that neutralize malicious requests and verify users using a captcha that is activated when necessary, at the customer's request.
