What is an L7 DDoS attack?
An L7 (or Layer 7 OSI) DDoS attack is a type of distributed attack at the application level (Layer 7 of the OSI model) where attackers overload not the network as a whole, but specific web services and site functions — for example, by sending a large number of seemingly legitimate HTTP/HTTPS requests to login pages, search functions, or APIs, causing the server, database, or business logic to fail under the load and the site becomes unavailable to real users; unlike network L3/L4 attacks, L7 attacks are harder to detect because the traffic looks "normal", so for businesses in Uzbekistan, professional application-level DDoS protection with behavior analysis and bot filtering is especially relevant.

Operating principle
When ordering the service, you will receive a secure address for redirecting traffic. The traffic is first analyzed and cleaned on Qrator nodes, then sent to the Pro-Data server.
If the nearest node is unavailable, traffic is redirected to the next one. Make sure that IP addresses are removed from external resources before activation, otherwise DDoS protection may be ineffective.
Qrator Labs protects against L7 attacks by analyzing traffic in real-time and using intelligent filters that neutralize malicious requests and verify users using a captcha, which is enabled when necessary, at the client's request.
